Geoff picked up and looked at the glass and its contents suspiciously. "It only looks a little like urine I suppose." He took a suspicious sip. He blanched. "It's not... horrible." He said distastefully. He sighed and realized that the best option was just to drink it, and hoping his hospitable host wasn't trying to poison him. He shook his head and gave it one big gulp, finishing it off in one go.
He quickly grabbed the banana-esque breakfast thingamabobber Akaitora had made. That's about as well as he could describe it anyways. He gave a pleasant sigh of relief. "Whatever these prophetic rolls are, they're pretty good."
He laughed, feeling better already. "It's probably a good thing I didn't cook. It wouldn't have been near as good as this."
Geoffrey nodded. "After last night and this morning, it's more than fair that I go out and search for some answers. I've been a bit curious myself, but I've always preferred the night. Or just loathed the sun more accurately."
Geoff gathered his coat and headed off. "Damn, I forgot about the saltpetre. Well... once I get back I'll remember it. Or I could go the path of gun cotton. So many choices, so few supplies. I'll have to pick up some sulfuric and nitric acid if I do. Should be able to find them at any chemistry shop..." He muttered to himself in a similar fashion as he continued along his way.

[*snicker* What coat? My cape? The one I was using to hide my wings at first, which I didn't mention because I thought I didn't need to, but since you mentioned my wings, I decided to play out the alternate scenario in which I left my cape by the portal? Or maybe you didn't mention your coat, and you're just now mentioning it because you decided you wanted a coat? I hope it's the latter, because I love that cape. I received compliments from a fashion designer on my cape, not to mention that it was almost completely redone by a girl I got to know very well, after I kidnapped her and forced her to live in my home for two weeks, nor to mention the many wonderful uses of my cape, as it's lined with pockets of every shape and size. I keep things in there that could make or break the world, you know! I love that cape!
By the way, that last paragraph was completely in character, however, the events spoken of did happen, though they were worded differently back then.
Oh, and I was snickering at your "prophetic rolls" comment. I laughed loud enough to wake up my companions downstairs.
Last question before I start back on my story, how did you leave my home? It's miles beneath the surface of Equestria, it's not like you can just saunter off. Don't worry about it though, I've got you covered. I'm just wondering how, because I'm an inquisitive person like that.
Anywho, I think this thread has run its course, and since I'm likely to return to a different part of town for research, despite the fact that I have no idea what's going to be happening when I do return, It's probably best we end the thread, and see what's happening elsewhere. Besides, we're not even in the time allotment I set at the beginning, we're on the morning after(of course, I could just go back and edit the time allotment, but...). Anyway, long story short, thread complete at the end of this post. For continuance's sake.]
Akaitora closed the portal after Geoff's departure. Washing the plate, glasses, and all of the tools he had used to make that morning's breakfast, from his eclair tip to his whisk, and setting them out to dry, he he took a moment to think about what he would have to do that day. There was a new room to add and furnish, and that would take up about six hours, mayhap a little less.
Then there was some shopping to do. Aside from Geoff's saltpeter, he needed garbanzo beans, tahini, lemons, and some olive oil for dinner that night, and he still didn't have any lockpicks, and he would have to have those by lunch.
Next on his agenda, he had to find a few notes from his real home, which, thankfully, wasn't too far out of town, and well-hidden by the stonework, so that anypony who wasn't looking for it wouldn't know it was there. Then, of course, he had to check up on his godson and his mother, to make sure that everything was alright on that front.
Overall, it would be a busy day, but fulfilling. He decided to start with shopping, as that was the most pressing item. He strapped his saddlebags on, and left his hovel, bound to return that night.
[Okay, that's it. I may or may not post his daily goings-on, but, it's mainly just my OC's interacting, so I'd basically just be talking to myself. Not that that's a bad thing, I love my monologues. But I wouldn't know exactly where to put them. I mean, some of it takes place in the Everfree forest, some in Canterlot, and then there's lunch... I just don't know what I'd do, or where I'd post that. If you want to read about my character's day, I'll post it somewhere, but, if not, I'll be somewhere on the evening of the 47th of summer. Likely, I'll step in to work with Lue again at that time, so... May the gods grant you their divine wisdom.]

[Lord knows I need their divine wisdom. And sorry about the coat bit. I felt he needed a coat, and I couldn't remember if I had given him one or not. So I gave him one, like a good props runner for a play will do... out of thin air. And thank you for laughing at my prophetic roles comment. To be honest, I'm not entirely sure what's going to happen next. But I have plans... of a sort. ] Geoff wandered about town, asking the local passerbys for some info. Unfortunately they seemed as much in the dark as he was.
Literally.
Geoff sighed and trudged on. Surely somepony might have an idea for the extended eclipse.
