Sorry, everyone! I know the thread is waiting on me. It's been a CRAZY few weeks at work and home, and with writing. There was an online writing conference this week that kept me away, but I'm back now! I'll reply this afternoon

It's also fun writing a character while intoxicated! (which is what I was doing last night when I posted Which is why today's post is kind of "meh" - I'm hungover as shit)

I've revised my rule against posting while intoxicated, as in now I can. It is fun, but if experience serves, it's going to make Eloc spelling and grammar falter.
The story behind that is, he misspells things when we're chatting and I've had too much rum. Long-distance osmosis, we decided.

This was the whole reason we wanted to do the party, right? I mean reunions and plot and all that, but we really just wanted to write as characters who are drunk. It's so fun ^_^

So, if the punch isn't spiked, how is everyone supposed to get drunk? If he'd known he'd be going to a party Roo would have come prepared, but he was book-hunting when he ran into the group.
Quick, someone spike the punch.

That's why I have all the alcohol. There's Ale, Rum, Wine, Brandy, a few bottles of champaign, pretty much everything except tequila and whiskey. You may spike the punch while Kai is in the closet, trying to shift the contents enough to find the karyoke machine. Or, you can pick up one of the poisoned glasses like Sil did. Don't worry, it won't harm you, but it will make you very intoxicated, very fast.

Perhaps someone should offer his guests the alcohol instead of the punch, then Unless he already did and I can't remember. I'll have to re-read.

Reply #50, Finding a Friend. Yes, I memorized that. No, I didn't spend eight minutes sifting through my posts, trying to find it while simultaneously entertaining my niece. I'm lying, of course, though not about the post...

Ahhh, there it is. I was so focused on Geoff about to die in that post I guess I didn't read it very carefully. I'll edit mine later to say that Roo took him up on the offer.

Then again, Kail was in the bathroom at the time, and Hy hadn't arrived yet. Also, Roo was fascinated by Sil, so the chances that any of your characters hearing was slim to none, so you have another good excuse. The punch is there in case somepony wants to play designated driver, and also to poison Sil, so he can run around the room shouting "You're pretty!" Because of his metabolism.
