Why, hello! This is Eloc, or El, or whatever you feel like renaming me. I was half-enticed, half-prodded onto here by Luemas. You want info about me? Don't deny it, I can see that lusty look for details even from across internet. I've always been more of an author than a role-player, but a couple of my friends threw me a wolf character to try out with them, and I got hooked. We played on an online art gallery (Colors! 3D if you care) in the comment sections of each other's pics so that we could illustrate the plot as we went along. I am currently working on a book/story about my main ponysona, Silent Storm; I discovered it's slightly irritating when you have to make two separate backstories for one character to prevent unintentional god-modding of other character's pasts, but I can probably keep them straight. I am a pyromaniac, a metal music addict (favorite band: Red), and I can't seem to stop drawing on, well, everything; my sketchbook, arms, sweatshirt, digital devices, EVERYTHING. If you have any questions that do not pertain to my age, location, or the current state of my hair, please ask and I will delightedly answer them. /)

A wolf character? I might have to get involved, aye...
I'm Gin, short for Kiernan Wolfgang Von Silvercoat, don't ask why it's short for that name, I'm tired of answering that question. We've met before, nigh on a week ago.
I understand your irritation at changing the backstory of your favorite OC, as I had to do a little of that, myself. Don't believe me? Check Akaitora. I almost didn't make it in. All the advice I can give you there is, don't be afraid of the limits. Embrace your weakness. It makes the character easier to believe. Trust me, I'm a writer, too. Inner torment makes Kai (short for Akaitora, my first character here, and second overall) who he is, and without it, he'd be happily married.
Lastly, who does your hair? It looks great from here.
By the way, I'm not the welcoming committee, I'm just here twice a day.

Wolves are quite fun to RP as, but you may not want to join ours. The one I referenced as my first rp of all time is still going and has accumulated about 15 characters that are a pain to keep track of (I had to make a chart ;P ) and I'm tempted to kill off my own character and use him elsewhere.
Pony OC creation with me only but rarely ends with an entirely natural character, but when it does, it leaves me room to develop the character just as much as the story (the best way to do this is to use an earth pony blank-flank and let the story and other characters build them)
You seem the type to enjoy large, semi-complicated plots that are just beginning, take a look at the first couple chapters of my story and tell me what ya think? (ask for a link) (the cover art is only temporary, I'm hosting a contest on the fore-mentioned art gallery and the results should be in in a couple weeks)
I didn't know there was a meeting committee, sounds a bit... sketchy.

There is no welcoming committee. That's why I'm not a part of it.
Your story is... interesting. Your writing style reminds me of somepony who owes me money, except your story isn't a... Well, it's child friendly, let's put it that way.
Here's a copy of my story, the creation of my character, as a story I told to keep myself sane (believe me, I do that a lot. It's mandatory). (Dreadfully sorry, but the link has moved back to the website it was going to take you to. We're sorry for the inconvenience, please send all complaints to your Aunt Carla. If you don't have an Aunt Carla, we will assign one to you.) Don't worry, I'm a safe writer. I wore protection. I used gloves to write this story.
All joking aside, It's a safe story. Until you read between the lines, when it get's kinda raunchy, but as long as you don't do that, you'll be fine.
You didn't answer my question. Who does your hair?

Hiya Eloc. Glad you decided to join us. Founder and co-mod Nightbow here, even though I struggle to act like it most of the time (but I'll save that for another thread). I find it curious how all of the newest members seem linked to one another! Not sure how RPing in art galleries would work, but I kind of like the idea. I was going to start an RP site with a friend back in 2005, but she just couldn't picture a game unaccompanied by images. On another note ... call me sissy, but I'm not sure that linking off-site to webpages that may or may not contain, um ... less appropriate content is allowed by ProBoards' standards, and please keep in mind that our own site in PG 13 and open to young players. Thus I would like to ask you to take down your links and offer to send them through PM instead.

Eeesh... you're right, sorry 'bout that. And I wonder, if Kiernan brought luemas here and luemas brought me here, was I brought here by Kiernan? Hmmf the world may never know. Gin, I do my own hair. In regards to art gallery RP'ing, this is how it works; someone draws a picture of their character or the current situation or plotline event, then all members of the rp post in 3rd person restricted format in the comment section of that particular piece of artwork. Now, for us the comment section had a limit of about 20 good-sized posts and once it became full, someone would post a new picture pertaining to what had just happened. Often our plotlines were relatively unplanned and ended up taking our character all over equestria or wherever they may have gone, giving the art a lot of variety (the wolf rp was post-apocalyptic and that was a lot of fun to paint .

No sweat. Thanks a lot for understanding, and for voluntarily taking them down. In the future I may edit the posts myself mind you, but I much prefer it if we all get along and understand why certain rules are enforced. I have seen people RP on Dev but I can't say I ever felt tempted. Probably because the comments aren't stacking in a readable fashion; I find them hard to view when a post has a bunch of replies. 'Prolly Dev's fault. Ah, post-apocalyptic wolf RPG? That takes me back. I used to play in Order Of The Wolf and more recently The Redwood Ravine at Furcadia. I always liked the sense of family that a wolf pack brought, but I haven't been playing there for years now. Guess it was hard when I had to be on real-time, and my time zone badly matched everyone elses. Oh well. I might go back there, at least for the joy of exploring. I hear Furcadia is actually updating their ancient game.
