Name: Whisper Wind
Age: 15
Type: Unicorn
Symbol: Three silver swirls and dots, representing wind. Also has a swirl and dot under her left eye.
Appearance:
A small young unicorn, plum in colour. Her eyes are green and her mane white with a reddish/hot pink stripe.
Abilities/Powers/Special talent:
Underdeveloped telepathy. Whisper Wind has believed herself to hear whispers in the wind. At first she thought herself crazy, but eventually learned that she was picking up fragments of telepathically sent massages.
Also capable of producing small gusts of wind.
Personality:
A bit of a blabbermouth. Not always appropriate, but always polite. Whisper Wind is very self-conscious and has a habit of over thinking things, since she feels a tad uncertain around strangers.
Though most of the time Whisper is an easy-going and silly pony. She is extremely curious and, when confident enough, asks a lot of questions.
Items/Accessories/Companions: Wears golden rings in her ears.
Birthplace/home world: Xanadia (A secluded realm in the C03 canon)
History:
Whisper Wind was born and raised in Xanadia, a land closed to outsiders where the citizens are keepers of an ancient magic. Her pony skills are limited, for the unicorn has the soul of an artist that has grown in solitude ever since her family became broken – father tearing in direction, mother in the other.
When the youth first heard and misinterpreted a telepathic message, she grew increasingly restless while wandering her homelands and set out on a journey that would take her through the great portal to the Fatum Isles, overseas, and eventually to Ponyville. She practically stumbled right into the scene of a war between some supposedly ancient gods.
The unicorn sought refuge in a nursery run by Kailani Hoofspen (whom she looks up to since Kail healed her hoof that was chipped on broken glass) and befriended Razzaroo and the nursery foas. Whisper was however not around to witness the climax of the battle. In fact, most of the drama passed her obliviously by (spare that horrific night that Star Dasher the street rat ran in, sobbing and blabbering something about “blood”).
After having fallen from a ledge and through a waterfall Whisper discovered a portal to Butterfly Island where she spent about a year, celebrating her fifteenth birthday. By the time she returned from the tropical climate everything was well in Ponyville. At least for a short while.
But once again Whisper dodged a bullet when she, just as the nursery was infected with a deadly and contagious disease, fell through the Rift and ended up in the Everfree Forest some 2000 years later.
Other: Nicknamed “Whisp”.
As a Xanadian she identifies as a child of moonlight, sticking by tradition to the lore that came to center around the moon cycle (that is, since the Sun Temple was destroyed), but that doesn’t necessarily make her religious.
On the contrary Whisper has spent much of her travels studying her favorite subject; diversities in culture. She would eventually adopt the habit of breathing: “Rainbows!”
By respect of the Xanadian traditions, elders and royalty, she is to never speak of her origins.
