I hope I've posted this in the correct area... but yeah, I'm ready to get Van into gameplay, but not sure where to start as there is either the mane 6 with the princesses, or the rift ponies and Van doesn't fall into either haha. So any ideas? I had thought of him stumbling across some rift ponies, but don't know if that can work since they are currently in the Everfree forest, and he's not really the type to do that

Hmmm, good question. I was debating bringing in a G4 character - let me take a look at who is who and see what I can do

Feel free to start your own thread. It would be good to have one on the same date as the others. I can't promise this, but there might be rift ponies heading into the city soon. But I can only speak on behalf of Knight Shade, and he won't make it out.

Figures. XD I should have made my first character a rift character so I wouldn't get stuck like this -- but I worried that there might be an excess rift characters with few native non-rift ponies to interact with. I'll put something up that will give rift ponies a chance to annoy Van.

I'm still trying to decide between Diamond Mint (who has an awful name but I have a backstory ready for) and Snowcatcher (who's hair has me in lust, but I can't think of a backstory for her).

Diamond Mint is a background pony, so she doesn't have a official name, right? In that case you could name her whatever you wanted, 'cause fan names aren't canon (unless this is one of the surprise bag ponies)?
Anyhoo, I need to get myself a G4, too.

yeah, I know, but I can't think of a better name for her I figured she'd just hate her name and tell everyone to call her "D".

I was planning to make a G4 eventually, but since I'm not collecting I didn't know any of the ponies and hadn't had a chance to look at them I spent a couple days with the FIM Wiki and finally decided on one (although I think I'll change her name again. It's really bugging me)

Hmmm, maybe Brilliant Hydrangea, or Brilliant Hyacinth (I'm going by her colors pre-cutie mark. They wouldn't have named her Mint anything because she would have no green before the mark showed up). Or I could keep the Diamond and stick Hy-whatever after it.

I like Brilliant Hyacinth -- but that's probably cause it's a bird and I'm a sucker for those. Hydrangea would make more sense, so maybe Diamond Hydrangea? Or Diamond Blue? Diamond Azure? Diamond Cyan? to be honest, I like Diamond Mint -- but I'm probably the only one

I had no idea Hyacinths were birds I was basing it on the flower (same colors at D's coat/mane). I think I'll go with Diamond Hydrangea then. But she'll still hate her name and tell everyone to call her Hy (which works out really well, because I have a dead character in the book I'm working on next nick-named Hy. I'm just going to bring all my dead characters into this game )

Hyacinth is a type of macaw. A rather pretty macaw too. Lol! That works out fine I suppose -- at least you can reconnect with the dead characters that way XD it's like they've reincarnated... but as ponies (assuming they weren't ponies in the book)
