[Right. Small cast change, tonight the role of Geoff will be played by Sir Kiernan Wolfgang Von Silvercoat. Believe me, the previous owner is okay with it.]
"Oh, sure, sure, by all means," smiled Geoff, waving his hoof. In truth, he had his eyes set on Sil's armor. "Now, where did you get this?" he asked, examining it carefully.
Usu smiled, and opened the door opposite Kai's. "Here we are. Fresh cotton sheets, hoof-stitched, and hoof-washed this morning. The walls are about two inches thick, and made of stone, so even with the party going on, it should be rather quiet. Would you like one of us to wake you in time for the party?"

[Sorry for the extremely long wait!]
Great Rainbows, but the Pragon Drony had quite the stutter. He was nice enough, though, and Roo was too interested in the anomaly before him to comment on the stuttering. In his experience dragons didn’t take kindly to having their faults pointed out.
“Eqqus Draco? I like that. I’ll have to update new editions of the texts I’ve seen that debate Pragon and Drony.” Roo took another bite and chewed cheerfully, chuckling a little bit when Sil said his name.
“I have to admit, I enjoy saying it myself. Razzaroo. It rolls off the tongue, yes yes yes it does. It’s nice to meet you as well, Silent Storm.” He shook the Eqqus Draco’s hoof with a smile. Kail had never mentioned an Eqqus Draco in any of her letters to him, and it was a pleasant surprise. It also reminded him just how little he knew of the events to come, despite all of those letters.
Things were moving along much faster than he had anticipated, and when Geoff drew the attention away from Roo to Sil’s dagger the unicorn was a little bit relieved.

Silent Storm was glad that Roo met his hoofshake. He was still a bit wary of the unicorn, and he really wasn't comfortable in his current environment. Still, nopony seemed hostile, and everyone had their own oddities as it was becoming much more clear to the young pegasus.
"Now where did you get this?"
Sil was slightly startled at the sudden question by the blue scientist, and jumped a little in his seat.
"I r-received the armor from a m-mailpony on my porch th-this afternoon." he said to the earth pony.

(Sorry for the delay!)
Ember gave a small nod to the unicorn and slowly walked into the room before turning and saying "Thank you for your hospitality." With that she climbed into the cozy bed and closed her eyes with a sigh of relief.

When Sil mentioned that a mailpony had delivered the platemail, Geoff suddenly remembered something. It had been almost two weeks since he had last checked his mail. Luckily, he had decided to begin forwarding his mail to his P.O. box before he had even left Canterlot. Ah, the beauty of planning your trips in advance.
Except forgetting that you would need lodging, and would have to either find someone with an extra bed, or sleep in a cheap hotel...
"Hey, Turny?"
Usu sighed as he turned around. "They were unable to identify the last stallion who called me Turny," he said, a wry smile on his face.
"Sorry," apologized Geoff. "I just remembered something I have to do. Can you tell Kai that I'll be back in a few minutes?"
Usu sighed. If it was only going to be a few minutes, there was a chance that he might make it back before Kai. Still, it wouldn't do to tell Geoff to stick it up his...
"Yeah. I'll let him know."
"Thanks!" shouted Geoff as he left through the portal.
Usu shook his head. 'I'm going to have to let him back in when he returns,' he thought to himself as he stepped back into the kitchen. He noticed that a small vial had fallen into one of the punch glasses. it was unmarked, and the stopper had fallen out. Resecuring it, he took the glass over to the sink and gave it a quick rinse. Placing it with the others on the tray, he took them, the punch bowl, and a few bottles of every sort Kai had into the main area. "Who's thirsty?"
[Just an FYI, there's a reason only that cup is poisoned. It's Sil's. And when I say poisoned, I mean contaminated with a potent alchemical concoction that Kai has for one reason or another. Try the Ale, I have too much.
Also, Geoff has left for the last time. He has a total of one post left, and that's his death scene. Then I have one final chapter in mind, where Kai wants to know what's happened to his housemate.]

[sorry for the wait... again]
Silent Storm picked a glass [you know the one] from among the others arranged on the tray Turnkey had brought in with him. He eyed each of the beverages on the tray, then took a chance with the brightly colored punch. Spooning a generous amount into his glass, he returned the dipper to the bowl, hanging the looped handle over the edge.
The pegasus gazed into the opaque liquid as if it were making a face at him, then took a slow sip. It was delicious punch, blending flavors and taste palettes that he'd never experienced in a single drink before. Or at least, that's what he would've thought if he had any experience in food or culinary vocabulary. What he actually thought was that it was fruity.
He finished the half-sandwich he was holding in his left hoof and reclined against the wall behind where he was seated, staring blankly at the ceiling while contemplating whether to attempt an addition to the conversation interrupted by Geoff.
"So a-are you some kind of teacher of s-scholar, Roo?" Sil inquired of the lavender unicorn.

(What??? Geoff is going to die? Oh dear, Ember is not going to like this.)
Faded Ember tossed and turned in the bed, for some reason suddenly restless. A seed of dread had planted itself in her fragile heart. Something seemed...off. She pulled a pillow over her head with a sigh, trying to sleep, but she was finicky now. It was no use trying to sleep. With a sigh she threw the pillow off of herself and kicked the blankets away. Glancing at the clock she noted that 15 minutes had passed.
Ember opened the door quietly and walked back into the room. "I couldn't sleep." She said simply as the other ponies eyes fell upon her. Glancing around she noticed Geoff had left but then remembered she had heard his voice earlier. Perhaps he had an important errand to run...Ember stared at her hooves for a moment before approaching Sil and sitting down beside him.

[Kai came back. More importantly, Kai came back with friends. One of which is here to identify the body . Worst joke I'll tell all day... Anywho, continuation from two bits: eventidemlprpg.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=argen&thread=173&page=2 ] Kai landed softly on the grass in front of the short cliff face he liked to hide the entrance to his home away from home in. Quickly, he turned to face his passengers, to make sure they were okay. They seemed fine at first glance, but he wanted to be absolutely certain. "How is everypony?"

That was the weirdest thing Hy had ever experienced. Her hoof shook slightly as she pushed a stray piece of mane back from her face and she took a deep breath to steady herself. While it hadn't hurt, she wasn't sure she ever wanted to travel by such a method again.
"I'm fine," she said and glanced at Whisp to make sure the young unicorn was ok.
~~~~~
Kail was still in the bathroom, and Roo stared at the door with a frown until Sil drew his attention away with a question.
"A scholar, yes," the lavender unicorn said with a smile. "Ancient Ponyville History, mostly. I'm also a Royal Scribe for the princesses, as my family has been for thousands of years in Course...er, Saddle Arabia."
He took a bite of sandwich and glanced towards Ember as she returned from the bedroom. "I can give you a tour of my library sometime, if you like. I have a good deal more books than the Whinnyopolis Library."
The feeling could be remotely compared to that of winking in that it had made the unicorn's insides spin and, probably because of its virtual lack of contents, made her stomach churn and left her a tad sick. Or was that an other effect of sorrow? Whisp couldn't tell.
"Yeah," she breathed. Whispering Wind wanted to hyperventilate, but swallowed hard. She had thought for sure that she wouldn't be able to produce any more tears, but her eyes stung and sure enough, the filly was crying. She hoped the others wouldn't remark about it. She was certain it was just triggered by her pitfall into misery - any more strange events and weird sensations and she wouldn't be physically able to cope. She saw in her mind how her own tiny body collapsed on the grass in protest.
Grass. She stood steady on her four hooves in the outdoors. "Where are we?"
[Strange events and weird sensations, huh? You can't go five minutes without Kai being involved in one or the other. It's like bunking with pinkie pie on a long train ride, except with more fear...]
Kai saw a tear form on Whisp's cheek. He took a few steps toward her, concerned for her well-being. Had he done the spell wrong? had he undercharged it?
After a few moments' consideration, he concluded that physically, she was unharmed, and her tears were those of emotional distress. He offered his hoof to the mare lying in the grass.
"We're at the entrance to probably the second safest place in all of Whinnyapolis," he said, smiling. The safest was Neighathorn tower, what with Princess Luna there, and considering tomorrow morning's celebration, The likelihood of Celestia being there was indeed quite high. "Well, I say in Whinnyapolis, but really, we're just outside it. If you go up to the top of this hill, you can see the streetlights have just come on."
Kai's horn glowed dimly, and the familiar swirling waves of the portal glazed over a small section of the cliff face. "We're almost where we need to be. Just a bit further, and if you don't feel you're able to make it back, I have food, and a bed you can use." He didn't really want to give up his bed, as this was his third night in Whinnyapolis, and the only time he had used his bed was when he was wrapped up like a mummy less than 24 hours ago. However, if he had to, he had options for where to rest. Not that it mattered, as he would be playing host tonight, and attending a celebration in the morning. His next break was at noon.
Still, he offered his hoof with a smile.
"I can give you a tour of my library sometime, if you like. I have a good deal more books than the Whinnyopolis Library."
"That s-sounds like fun." Silent Storm said to accept the invitation, "You r-really have a whole l-library all to yourself? I didn't think a-anypony owned that many books just by themself"
Sil took another draught from the punch glass, but stopped mid-sip as the gray mare, who had entered with the group, sat down next to him. That was something that simply didn't happen to him, save for Lunar Mist when she came to visit.
Without intending to, Sil became rather nervous, heavily swallowing the rest of the punch in his raised glass. He refilled it and set it on the table for later. The pegasus didn't want to do anything to scare off the unicorn, but he didn't really know what scared everypony else off either, so he simply sat unnaturally still and tried to avoid eye contact with her.
He drank another sip of punch, but it went down his throat weird. He began coughing loudly, and couldn't seem to stop.
Ember could immediately sense the odd pony's anxiety and gave him and a worried glance. That nagging feeling...it was making her head hurt. Suddenly Silent Storm began to cough, and was seemingly was unable to stop. "Sil?" She questioned the pegasus. Although he could not answer. Her eyes widened. "I think he's choking!" Ember's voice seemed slightly panicked and her eyes were wide and worried. The Unicorn began patting his back, not exactly knowing what to do.
[Actually at my computer. For once... Which means color for my text.]
Usutora heard the coughing from the kitchen. At first, he thought nothing of it. After a second or two passed, and the violent expulsions continued, he was moderately worried about the well-being of his brother's guest, whomever it was. He poked his head back around the doorway
"I think he's choking!"
Usu rushed over to the table, wanting to be absolutely sure of the situation. It turns out it was Sil that was caughing, which immediately put Usu on edge, remembering back to the events of the previous night.It seemed as though Ember was already trying to fix the situation, but he didn't know if patting his back would be enough.
"Sil, I want you to nod yes or no. Are you receiving any air at all?"
It was only then that he saw something red at Sil's lips. His tongue mayhap? Some punch? Or the possibility loomed that the sandwiches might end up toasted. He would have shuddered at the thought, but his mind was on Sil's health at the moment.
[Well. We're getting up there in pages. Not the longest thread, but... Four pages, mayhap five when I post this one. We could play monopony and draw it out for ages, like last time...
Sorry. Bad joke.]
